Myth Busting: Demystifying the Publishing World
Although the road to publication is different for everyone, one thing holds true for authors of every genre: not everything you hear through the grapevine is correct. Myths in publishing are rampant, but take a cue from Lindsay Currie, myth-buster extraordinaire! • Building a solid writing platform needs to be done prior to querying, and should involve all forms of social media.
  • When looking for an agent, who you “connect with” is most important.
  • Selling one book is akin to “getting your foot in the door” and will ensure future sales.
